Dear colleagues!

We invite the academic staff of higher education institutions, analytical organizations, state authorities and local self-government bodies, postgraduate students, students, and all interested in maritime security of the Baltic-Black Sea region to join the international conference.

Participation form: face-to-face and online.

Venue: Odesa State University of Internal Affairs (Uspenska Street, 1, Odesa, Odesa Region, 65000).

EVENT PROGRAM:

9:00 – 10:00 – participant registration;
10:00 – 11:00 – conference opening;
11:00 –12:30 – plenary session;
12:30 – 13:00 – coffee break;
13:00 –15:00 – plenary session.


All interested in taking part in the international conference should take the following measures before December 18, 2024 (inclusively):

Languages: Ukrainian, English.


The size of the registration fee is 450 UAH. A collection of abstracts and a certificate of participation indicating the amount of advanced training (15 hours – 0.5 ECTS credits), certified by a seal, will be sent to all participants in electronic form after February 5, 2025. The registration fee includes: reimbursement of costs for the correction and layout of the collection of abstracts. Participation is free of charge for OSUIA academic staff.

If desired, the participant can order a printed copy of the collection and certificate, the cost of which is paid additionally in the amount of 500 UAH.

Acceptance and publication of conference proceedings will be implemented under the support of “Publishing House “Baltija Publishing” (Riga, Latvia).

The collection of theses will be assigned an ISBN (International Standard Book Number) by a European publisher.

PROHIBITION ON USING THE AGGRESSOR STATE’S SCHOLARLY PAPERS:

Languages: Ukrainian and English. It is prohibited citing and including in the reference list Russian-language publications published in any country, including papers written in other languages but published in russia and belarus.

  • Current state and challenges of maritime security of ports of the Baltic-Black Sea region;
  • Activities of state army units in maritime security;
  • Fight against maritime terrorism, smuggling, and illegal drug trafficking;
  • Respect for seafarers’ rights as a component of maritime security;
  • Particularities of training and retraining of maritime security officers;
  • Interrelation of maritime security and economic, environmental, food, information, and energy security of the Baltic-Black Sea states;
  • Countering maritime illegal migration, human exploitation and trafficking;
  • The functioning of maritime search and rescue teams;
  • Maritime security maintenance.

In one spacing, in the center, there is a full name in Latin characters, academic degree, academic rank (if any), post, department, affiliation, city, and country (in English); Times New Roman no. 14.

In one spacing, in the center, there is a full name in Latin characters, academic degree, academic rank (if any), post, department, affiliation, city, and country (in Ukrainian); Times New Roman no. 14.

After one spacing there is a text which should meet the following requirements: А-4, all fields – 2 cm, Times New Roman № 14, line spacing – 1,5.

References (without repetitions) are at the bottom of the text taking into account the National Standard of Ukraine DSTU 8302: 2015 “Information and documentation. Bibliographic reference. General principles and rules of composition”. Citations in the text should be marked with numerical order of a source according to the list and page (pages) number, for example [7, p. 16].

Text volume: up to 5 pages with a list of sources used.

The organizing committee reserves the right to reject materials that do not meet the directions and scientific level of the conference, editorial and technical requirements, as well as those sent in violation of the submission deadlines.
