Program of the All-Ukrainian scientific and pedagogical advanced training

We kindly invite academic and research staff of education and scientific institutions, practitioners, undergraduate, postgraduate and postdoctoral students, and all interested in gender studies in higher school in the All-Ukrainian scientific and pedagogical advanced training.

Ukraine constantly confirms its commitment to the common European ideals and values, among which gender equality and non-discrimination take the leading place. The Council of Europe Gender Equality Strategy 2018-2023 identifies six strategic objectives: 1) preventing and addressing gender stereotypes and sexism; 2) preventing and combating violence against women and domestic violence; 3) ensuring women’s equal access to justice; 4) achieving balanced participation of women and men in political and public decision-making; 5) protecting the rights of migrant, refugee and persecuted women; 6) implementing a strategy to achieve gender equality in all policies and activities. The role of education in achieving these strategic goals is indisputable. In addition, on June 20, 2022 Ukraine ratified the Istanbul Convention, which set new tasks for public policies and practices in terms of preventing and combating violence against women and domestic violence. Thus, Lviv State University of Internal Affairs and the Center for Ukrainian and European Scientific Cooperation decided to organize advanced training to interpret modern challenges and achievements in the field of gender studies in higher school.

The professional program of advanced training is based on the latest scientific approaches to the organization of adult learning, achievements of psychological-pedagogical, social, and behavioral sciences. It is focused on the development and advancement of legal, psychological-pedagogical, communicative, communication competencies, as well as practical skills and attainments of interactive communication and professional-personal growth to improve professional communication and the implementation of teaching activities.

Every participant of the advanced training receives a printed certificate and a collection of abstracts.
