The Polish University of Economics in Stalowa Wola (Wyższa Szkoła Ekonomiczna w Stalowej Woli) organised preparation work for developing a collective monograph on philological sciences within the framework of international activity. According to the signed international cooperation agreement, the Center for Ukrainian and European Scientific Cooperation was the official representative of the Editorial Board of the collective monograph in Ukraine.
Scholars, lecturers and postgraduate students were invited to participate in elaborating the collective monograph. The following areas of research were proposed to the intending participants:
• Modern philology: theory and practice;
• Reformation of the system for professional training of linguists, translators, literary critics;
• Implementation of methodology for the development of philological sciences;
• Theoretical and applied aspects of the development of philological education in Ukraine and the countries of the European Union.
As a result of the activity of authors’ team united by a common idea to introduce the achievements of their researches, the collective monograph “Philological sciences: perspectives of the development in European countries at the beginning of the third millennium” has been published in early January 2019. Twenty eight Ukrainian scholars participated in elaborating the monograph, among them was:

V., Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor at the Department of English Philology and Translation of Kyiv National Linguistic University, “Symbolic representation of conceptual space in folktales: translational perspective”;
– Kalambet Ya. I., Candidate of Philological Sciences, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Philology of Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas, studied “Arthurian precedent proper names as the secondary nomination in the modern Internet discourse”;
– Kalko V. V., Candidate of Philological Sciences, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Ukrainian Linguistics and Applied Linguistics, Doctoral Student of Bohdan Khmelnytsky National University of Cherkasy, who wrote the research “Intertextual potential of Ukrainian proverbs”;

The monograph was published by the European publishing house “Izdevnieciba” Baltija Publishing” (Riga, Latvia) with ISBN award that provided authors with the opportunity to participate in elaborating collective paper published in a country of the European Union. Each author will receive three copies of the monograph and a certificate of participation.
