Under the framework of extension of the international, representatives of the Center for Ukrainian and European Scientific Cooperation participated in the organization and conducting of the international conference “Positive influence on the creation and activities of the European territorial amalgamations on the economic development of the European Union and its external boundaries”. The organizers were also represented by Law Faculty of Uzhhorod National University, European Grouping for Territorial Cooperation “TISZA” (EGTC TISZA), Transcarpathian Regional Council, Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg County (Hungary), Kisvárda Municipal Government (Hungary), Institute of Economic and Legal Research of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Central European Service for Cross-Border Initiatives (Hungary).
EGTC TISZA is an unprecedented case both for Ukraine and the European Union because the county, which is not an EU member, became the participant of the European project due to the support of the European Committee of the Regions and Hungary. EGTC TISZA provided a unique possibility to cooperate with the European Union together with Hungarian partners in a new format for the implementation of specific economic, investment, infrastructure and cultural and educational projects. Nowadays, EGTC TISZA is a beneficiary of two large-scale projects within the Project of Cross-Border Cooperation of the European Neighbourhood Instrument “Hungary – Slovakia – Romania – Ukraine 2014 – 2020” (ENI).
