We invite you to participate in the VIII International Legal Forum “Human Rights and Public Governance” dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the founding of Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University.

The purpose of the forum is to involve domestic and foreign specialists (experts) in the field of implementation and protection of human rights, mediation, and administrative procedures by public authorities in wartime into a scientific and practical debate.

The forum will be held on May 30, 2025 in a mixed format at the Faculty of Law of Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University at the address: Chernivtsi, Kotsiubynskoho Street, 2.

Working languages of the forum: Ukrainian, English.

Form of participation: in-person, distance (ZOOM platform) online.

PROCEDURE FOR SUBMITTING MATERIALS

Persons interested in participating in the forum must take the following actions by April 30, 2025 (inclusive):

  1. fill out the application and send the theses of the report to the mail address law@cuesc.org.ua;
  2. after receiving the requisites from the organizing committee, send an electronic copy of the receipt as confirmation of the payment of the organizational fee.

The file name must match the surname of the first speaker. For example: Shevchenko_Theses, Shevchenko_Contribution.

Subject of the letter: TO THE FORUM ON HUMAN RIGHTS AND PUBLIC GOVERNANCE.

ORGANIZATIONAL CONTRIBUTION

The organizational fee is 150 UAH. The fee covers the costs associated with the formation and publication of collections of theses in electronic form. Doctors of Sciences and employees of Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University participate in the forum free of charge.

DETAILS OF PARTICIPATION

All participants of the event will be provided with an electronic collection of forum materials. The collection of forum theses will be published by the Ukrainian-Polish publishing house “Liha-Pres”, which is included in the SENSE book publishers rating.

Each these included in the collection of forum theses will be assigned a DOI, which will allow authors to find their scientific work on the Open Ukrainian Citation Index (OUCI) website, developed by specialists of the State Scientific and Technical Library of Ukraine on behalf of the Board of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. The collection of forum theses

will be posted on the open platform of the Ukrainian-Polish publishing house “Liha-Pres” at this link after May 30, 2025.

ACADEMIC INTEGRITY

The organizing committee of the forum provides anonymous qualitative review of each theses of the report. All submitted theses of the reports are checked for plagiarism using StrikePlagiarism.com software from the Polish company Plagiat.pl.

PROHIBITION OF USING SCIENTIFIC WORKS OF THE OCCUPYING COUNTRY

We draw the authors’ attention to the fact that materials for publication are accepted exclusively in Ukrainian and English languages. Citation in the text and inclusion in bibliographic lists of those sources published in russian in any country, as well as sources in other languages, if they were published on the territory of russia and belarus, are prohibited.

THESES REQUIREMENTS

The name of the section. The title of the report in English, located on a cent (capital letters, font Times New Roman No. 14, bold).

Below, at one interval, in the centre – the author’s surname, patronymic, academic degree, academic title (if any), position, department, full name of the institution where the author studies or works, city, country; Times New Roman Font No. 14.

After one interval, the text of the theses, which must meet the following requirements: A-4 format, margins: top, bottom, left, right – 2 cm, Times New Roman Font No. 14, line spacing – 1.5.

The list of used sources (without repetitions) is provided in the original language at the end of the text under the title “Literature:” (Bibliography)” and is drawn up taking into account the National Standard of Ukraine DSTU 8302:2015 developed in 2015. “Information and documentation. Bibliographic reference. General provisions and rules of drafting”.

In the text, footnotes are marked with square brackets indicating the serial number of the source in the list and the page (page) numbers after a comma, for example: [7, p. 16].

Text volume: up to 5 pages with a list of sources used.

Please note that the maximum number of co-authors is 3 people. Language of the forum: Ukrainian, English.
