On December 14–15, 2018, the international scientific and practical conference “Achievements and challenges of social sciences in the modern world” took place in Baku (the Republic of Azerbaijan) at the premises of Institute of Philosophy of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences. Ilham Ramiz oglu Mammadzadeh, Director of Institute of Philosophy Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, was Head of the Organising Committee.
Scientists, postgraduates, students of higher education institutes and research establishments as well as practitioners, who are actively involved in research in the sphere of social sciences, were invited to participate in the scientific and practical conference.
In the context of the conference the following sections performed:
1. Topical issues of philosophic sciences
2. Topical issues of sociological sciences
3. Topical issues of historical sciences
4. Topical issues of political sciences
5. Art criticism and science of culture
The following Ukrainian scientists contributed to the conference: Horodetskyi O.V., Senior Lecturer at the Department of Social Sciences and Humanities of Prydniprovska State Academy of Physical Culture and Sport, presented theses “Healthy lifestyle as a component of sport personal culture”; Levchenko L.Iu., Candidate of Philosophic Sciences, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Philosophy of SIHE “Pereyaslav-Khmelnytsky Hryhoriy Skovoroda State Pedagogical University”, reported on “Establishment of problems of gender processes in education: social and philosophical discourse”; Liashenko T.M., Doctor of Political Sciences, Leading Research Scientist at the Department of Theoretical and Applied Problems of Political Science of I.F. Kuras Institute of Political and Ethnic Studies of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, covered the topic “Trade unions in Ukraine and Poland: comparative analysis”; Nazarenko M.S., Candidate of Philosophic Sciences, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Philosophy, Sociology and Management of Sociocultural Activity of South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K.D. Ushynsky, presented “Post-truth: anthropological background and social effects”; Petinova O.B., Doctor of Philosophic Sciences, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Philosophy, Sociology and Management of Sociocultural Activity of South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K.D. Ushynsky had the topic “Insurance personal culture as a component of market economic culture”; Skrypchuk H.V., Assistant Lecturer at the Department of Studies on Culture of Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University, reported on “Legislative issues regarding the development of Ukrainian cultural sector”; Stepyko V.P., Candidate of Philosophic Sciences, Associate Professor, Professor at the Department of Sociology of the Faculty of Social and Economic Education, National Pedagogical Dragomanov University, presented “Peculiarities of modernization of Ukrainian society”; Shevchenko N.V., Lecturer at the Department of History of Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University, “Genesis of notarial system in Ukraine: historical aspect”, as well as other participants that presented interesting research papers.
In the near future, all Ukrainian participants will receive collections of abstracts and certificates of participation authenticated with the seal. The collection will be awarded ISBN (International Standard Book Number) by a European publishing house.
