Teaching social sciences is changing throughout human history as it depends on processes, public sentiments and political regimes. Some views remain, others are transformed, and others are severely criticized. What methods of teaching history, sociology, philosophy and political science are relevant not only in Ukraine but also abroad? Participants of the scientific-pedagogical internship “Modern method of teaching political, historical, philosophical and sociological sciences in the higher school of Ukraine and Baltic states” can answer the above question.

Today’s lecturer is Oleh Nykyforov, Doctor of Psychology, Associate Professor, the Baltic International Academy (the Republic of Latvia). The researcher teaches general psychology, social psychology, personality psychology, psychodiagnostics, pedagogy, Christian anthropology, epistemology and forensic psychiatry. He is interested in studying Christian psychology and practices its techniques in his professional activity. Moreover, he has conducted studies in ethnopsychology – determined ethnic stereotypes of Latvians and Russians.

The lecture he has delivered today is entitled “Particularities of teaching the humanities in the Republic of Latvia”. Participants of the online meeting have familiarized themselves with the Latvian experience of teaching, analyzed and compared it with the relevant Ukrainian experience.

Thus, the lecture was an essential component in the psychological internship, and the audience was actively engaged in it.

An online lecture is available at our official YouTube at the link.

We thank everyone who joined the meeting!
