Today, December 2, the next-to-last lecture has been delivered within the All-Ukrainian scientific-pedagogical advanced training in law. Korotkova Yuliia Mykhailivna, Doctor of Pedagogy, Professor, Professor at the Department of Social-Humanitarian Disciplines of Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs, was a speaker.
The scientist’s scholarly interests include methods of teaching a foreign language, pedagogical and philological education in modern Greece, analysis of the introduction of new teaching approaches, academic mobility of university students (comparison of Ukrainian and Greek experience), the history of training primary school teachers in Greece, the development of philological education amidst globalization. As seen, Yuliia Mykhailivna is interested in studying Greek pedagogy, and her PhD thesis was entitled “Professional training of a primary school teacher in modern Greece”, and Doctor’s dissertation – “Theory and practice of training philologists in Greek universities in the latter half of the XXth – beginning of the XXIst century”. Moreover, the scientist is involved in studying interactive methods of training lawyers in Ukraine. The analysis of these pedagogical aspects is relevant to Yuliia Mykhailivna as she works at the law university.
At the lecture “Organizational and legal regulation of higher education in Ukraine”, the speaker covered legal fundamentals of higher education, laws consolidating student rights and obligations, the importance of integration into the Bologna Process, in particular, the introduction of European educational standards in Ukraine. At the same time, Yuliia Mykhailivna paid attention to the functioning of university structural units: departments, faculties, branch offices, libraries, scientific and research centers, and authorities which deal with the operation of a higher education institution (university administration, dean’s office, and admission office).
Thus, the lecture was substantive and well-structured. Participants of the scientific event obtained much relevant information and understood the particularities of the organization of Ukrainian higher education universities.
As a reminder, the last lecture within the scientific-pedagogical advanced training will be held on December 6, 14:00.
